How to Play iPad Slideshow on HDTV with Apple Adapter

To showcase your photos on iPad to all people in a room in an interesting way, you can create a slideshow with music and pictures, then connect iPad to TV and mirror a slideshow to TV from iPad.

What you need to play your iPad slideshow to TV:

Apple 30-pin Digital AV Adapter
HDMI cable
iPad 2 or iPad 3 and a HDMI-compatible TV
Photo Slideshow Director HD

Apple Digital AV Adaptor helps you put your slides, movies, photos, and everything else that fills your iPad or iPhone 4S screen on an even bigger screen —HDTV. Connect it to your iPad via the 30-pin dock connector and to your HDMI – compatible display using an HDMI cable (sold separately) so the slideshow will play on HDTV. The VGA Adapter not only has the same features as Apple Digital AV Adapter but also can help you put these slideshow video on an even bigger screen — a VGA-equipped TV, monitor, or external projector for video mirroring. After you have created a slideshow with Photo Slideshow Director HD on iPad, there are different ways to share this slideshow movie, output as an MOV video on iPad, transfer it to your personal computer or upload to YouTube, Facebook directly or play it on HDTV.

Mirror iPad photo slideshow to TV with Apple Digital AV Adapter

Step1. Import photos and music to Photo Slideshow Director HD, and customize your slideshow according to your style, such as transitions, pan / zoom effects, text and subtitles and more effects.

Step2. Connect iPad to your HDTV with Apple Digital AV Adaptor and HDMI cable. Connect the Apple Digital AV Adapter to your iPad via the 30-pin dock connector and to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately).

Step3. Switch the input on your HDTV to HDMI, power your iPad on. Now your iPad screen should be displayed on TV.

Step 4. Return to Photo Slideshow Director HD app, tap the Export icon and select the HDTV / Airplay from all output options.

Hit HDTV/ Airplay

Step 5. Then your slideshow will play on HDTV.

Once you select HDTV / Airplay, the photo in the slideshow will be shown on TV while it shows TV Connected in the main screen of Photo Slideshow Director HD.
